ShowCase

Here a collection of the capabilities of Geo-Wise in the forms of visualisations are demonstrated. Some of the videos are only for demonstration purposes only.

Simulation of the penetration of a Spudcan through a 2m thick sand layer over clay using Lagrangian-based method. The spudcan has a circular shape with 10m of diameter. The plastic strains are shown in the visualisation.

The rock fracture simulation of a highly weak weathered rock. The sample characteristic is explained in the video.

Classical slope stability problem with various material response.

Simulation of waves hitting coast.

Simulation of wave-induced motions of a jack-up vessel.

Failure of sandy and clayey slope using the material point method.

A demo case of a floating WTG platform moored by four cables.

Simulation of the penetration of a Spudcan through a 7m thick sand layer over clay using the material point method. The spudcan has a circular shape with 15m of diameter. The plastic strains are shown in the visualisation.

Simulation of free falling anchor through a water column.

This visualisation demonstrates how Geo-Bullet creates a composition of rigid bodies, representing rock, by making randomly-shaped polyhedrons.

The breakage of a concrete column being hit by a rigid object. In Geo-Bullet, the breakage of the objects/rocks can be simulated. The breaking threshold can be attributed to the UCS or RQD value of the rock.

A concrete block with a weight of ~40kg is being dropped on a chamber filled with beach sand. The block penetration varies with the drop height. The results of Geo-Bullet are validated against the full-scale laboratory tests [REF].

Vibratory densification of a rock composition subjected to the vibration with a frequency of 3 Hz. Vibratory densification is a highly complex and dynamic granular phenomenon. The Geo-Bullet results are validated against more than 30 vibratory-densification lab tests [REF].

Pluviation of three uniformed sized rigid bodies through a funnel. The visualisation only shows the top view of the funnel.

Pluviation of three uniformed sized rigid bodies through a funnel. Only the rigid bodies are activated in the viewport to allow the view of the rigid bodies pluviation. The Geo-Bullet results are validated against more than 30 pluviation lab tests [REF].

3D Simulation of dropping rigid body into soft clay modelled by Fluids module. The visualisation shows the central-cut view of the model.

Simulation of rock failure under UCS test. The rock is discretized in smaller rock fragments with randomly-shaped polyhedrons and bonded together. The unconfined loading scheme does allow the rock to fail on the weakest failure plane.
